Default Kylian Mbappe

Manchester United make £113m offer for Kylian Mbappe as Manchester City go in at £105m, while Real Madrid have £118m lined up to sign Monaco starlet

* Madrid-based AS say Real Madrid will offer £118m for Monaco's Kylian Mbappe
* Report, based off Monaco's Radio Montecarlo, links Manchester United and City
* United are said to have offered £113m while Pep Guardiola's City bid at £105m
* But Mbappe is still unlikely to leave Monaco after brilliant breakthrough season

Kylian Mbappe is set to reject a move away from Monaco this summer despite reported world-record offers from European giants Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Mbappe, 18, is the hottest striking property around after a brilliant breakthrough season and Madrid-based AS, working off reports from Monaco's Radio Montecarlo, claim there have already been offers approaching £118million for his services.

Tuesday morning's front page of AS references that €135m gambit from Real, their third offer for the France international, while United and City are said to have bid £113m and £105m respectively.

The front page of AS talks of three bids of over £100m for Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe

Radio Montecarlo have not named the clubs to have put forward their interest in Mbappe, although AS claim Real, United and City are the big bidders.

The Monaco centre forward, though, is unlikely to take up any opportunity to leave Ligue 1 this summer with his eyes on a World Cup place in Russia next summer.

His club, who won their first title in 17 years this season, will offer a new and improved contract to reflect Mbappe's status as the world's leading teenage centre forward prospect.

Arsenal have also shown interest in Mbappe, whose 26 goals this season pricked the attention of Europe's giants as the spearhead of Monaco's surprise drive to the Champions League semi-finals.

He is currently on international duty with France ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Sweden in Stockholm on Friday night.

Manager Didier Deschamps has an treasure chest of attacking riches to pick from ahead of next summer's tournament, with Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann and Alexandre Lacazette the other centre forwards in his most-recent squad.

That level of competition leaves Mbappe keen to keep an almost-guaranteed first-team spot at Monaco where he could earn a place up front for Les Bleus.

Mbappe, wanted by Real Madrid, Manchester United and City

City have set the pace with an aggressive start to the summer transfer window and would like to add Mbappe to their early list of purchases.

Manager Pep Guardiola has already spent £77million on his former Monaco team-mate Bernardo Silva and Benfica goalkeeper Ederson and will look to splash out a further £200m over the coming weeks.

Real, fresh from winning an unprecedented second successive Champions League title, are on the look-out for a new galactico, while Jose Mourinho has made it clear his United squad needs significant strengthening after a sixth-place finish in the Premier League season just finished.

Default Re: Kylian Mbappe

Manchester United should 'break the bank' for Kylian Mbappe to revive stagnant attack, says Louis Saha

* Manchester United have struggled to score goals so far in poor start to season
* Responsibility has fallen at Marcus Rashford's feet but he is yet to fully convince
* Former United favourite Louis Saha thinks they should sign Kylian Mbappe

Manchester United need to 'break the bank' and sign Kylian Mbappe to revive their flagging attack, says former Old Trafford favourite Louis Saha.

United have struggled so far this season, particularly in attack and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have rarely looked a threat in front of goal.

Saha thinks that elite strikers are a dying breed so the the club should try and recruit PSG's lethal frontman.

He told Compare.Bet: 'If you ask me, I would break the bank for Mbappe, but now it's too late.

'But, when you look at strikers, it's a dying breed. Lewandowski is a rare example of someone who is left, and I don't see many players that can easily fit up front.

'There is a need for somebody up front who is strong enough to hold the ball and to give time and space to the players like Paul Pogba and McTominay to create something in midfield to put passes together.

Kylian Mbappe is the man Manchester United need to recruit, says Louis Saha. Saha thinks there is a dearth of top level strikers around and Mbappe is one of them

'You're asking a lot from young players because passing the ball around and having nice touches, it just looks too nice and it doesn't work.'

Marcus Rashford has carried much of the goal-scoring burden but some think he lacks the physicality to play centrally.

Anthony Martial has recently returned to fitness and will offer another welcome option to Solskjaer in the final third.

Default Kylian Mbappé Lottin

Man United 'accelerate plans to sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG in a £150m deal' as wantaway Frenchman pushes for exit and Old Trafford club search for Cristiano Ronaldo's replacement following his explosive interview

* Cristiano Ronaldo appears on the verge of being let go by Manchester United
* Reports have claimed that Kylian Mbappe has been identified as replacement
* Paris Saint Germain forward earlier in the season wanted to depart the club

It has been claimed that Manchester United are lining up Paris Saint Germain and France forward Kylian Mbappe to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo's second spell with United appears on the verge of its conclusion after an explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he, among other things, claimed they 'betrayed' him, took aim at former team-mates and said the club's owners do not care about the football side of the business.

According to The Mirror, replacements are already being sounded out with Mbappe, improbably perhaps, having been identified as a shock January target.

The Frenchman has endured something of a tough season with Paris Saint Germain this term after signing a record-breaking contract during the summer to keep him at the club for a further three years.

Reports in October suggested that Mbappe had lost patience with manager Christoph Galtier who was not playing him in his preferred position off the left-hand side, instead choosing to deploy him centrally.

Despite this, relations appear to have been mended somewhat in recent weeks and PSG's investment in the Parisian native during the summer is unlikely to see them let him go the next year, let alone within the next six months.

Manchester United have reportedly identified Paris Saint Germain and France forward Kylian Mbappe as a January target. Plans to sign the forward have reportedly been accelerated following Cristiano Ronaldo's extraordinary outburst. Mbappe signed a contract during the summer that would keep him in Paris until 2025. However, the Frenchman has endured something of a tough start to the campaign with reports circulating of him being unsettled

Neymar and Lionel Messi, 30 and 35, respectively, have both shone in the first half of this campaign but question marks remain over their overall commitment to the PSG project beyond this year.

It is claimed within The Mirror report that Mbappe would cost upwards of £150m, with United possessing the financial might to sign the player.

Meanwhile, it is said that United are one of few clubs around Europe able to match Mbappe's astronomical wage demands - which are said to total around £500,000 a week.

More attainable January targets include Victor Osmihen, the Napoli centre-forward who has enjoyed a stellar start to the season with the Italian club only losing one game - away at Liverpool in the Champions League - all season.

United can allegedly be encouraged by their Premier League rivals, Liverpool and Manchester City, not being in the market for a forward next year with both having spent on the position in the summer just gone.

Were Mbappe to depart PSG, however, it seems unlikely that it would be for anywhere else but the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid were shocked when he told them that he had decided to remain in Paris for the next three years - at least - with Florentino Perez having been certain that they would land the Frenchman.

'In Paris, the page is completely blank. What an opportunity! You have to think differently. Of course, it was easier to go to Madrid,' Mbappe said upon signing his new deal with PSG in the summer.

'But I have this ambition. I'm French. I'm a child of Paris, and to win in Paris, it's something really special — really special. It writes your name in the history of your country for life.'
