Manchester United sign Norwegian 14-year-old wonderkid Isak Hansen-Aaroen in £90,000 deal - two years after he had a trial at Liverpool!

* Manchester United have signed Norwegian teenager Isak Hansen-Aaroen
* The 14-year-old had trials at Liverpool and Everton before choosing Man United
* Club have paid £90,000 and sent Aidan Barlow on loan to build a partnership
* Hansen-Aaroen will join the club officially in August 2020 when he turns 16

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Norwegian teenager Isak Hansen-Aaroen from Tromso.

The 14-year-old opted to sign for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team ahead of Liverpool and Everton after spending time on trial at all three clubs.

Manchester United have agreed a fee of £90,000 for him while Aidan Barlow has gone the other way on a season-long loan to Norway.

Sportsmail reported in May that United had agreed to sign Hansen-Aaroen after visiting United's training ground complex.

The Premier League club revived talks over the teenager back in January. Their position was strengthened by the fact national hero Solskjaer was doing so well as manager and the central midfielder is a United fan.

Hansen-Aaroen is also understood to be represented by Solskjaer's agent Jim Solbakken.

Manchester United signed Isak Hansen-Aaroen from Tromso having also trialled for Liverpool

He spent time with Liverpool in October 2017 before Manchester United invited him to training several times throughout 2018 after spotting him at the Audi Cup.

The Norway Under 15 international must wait until August 22 next year, when he turns 16, to complete the move due to FIFA regulations over young players.

Tromso sports manager Svein-Morten Johansen said: 'We think this is very exciting because we cooperate with a big club and we have already developed a good cooperation, and this has now materialised in that we borrow Barlow.

'It will be interesting to see his level up against our own boys at the same age, but we know we will get a very good player.

'This could be the start of a long-term collaboration that can give us a lot. We already have a very good dialogue.

'It means a lot to us and even though we now get a player, the most important thing is maybe we get close to them and gain new knowledge.'

Alexis Sanchez wants to QUIT Man United in next fortnight with Serie A trio Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli all interested in move for wantaway star

* Alexis Sanchez is keen on a Serie A return after a dismal spell at Man United
* The 30-year-old has scored just three goals in 32 appearances for the club
* Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli are leading the race for the Chile international
* Sanchez wants to lead his country to the final of next year's Copa America

Alexis Sanchez wants a Manchester United escape over the next fortnight in pursuit of first-team football.

The Chilean, who trained with the United squad on Wednesday, has made just four Premier League starts since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over last December.

Solskjaer insisted last week that he expects Sanchez to stay at Old Trafford but the 30-year-old has an eye on Italy before the European transfer window closes on September 2.

Alexis Sanchez is ready to quit Man United and return to Serie A after a dismal spell at the club. Sanchez has made just four Premier League starts since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge

Sanchez's agent, Fernando Felicevich, met with Juventus earlier in the summer, while Napoli and AC Milan also hold an interest.

The £73million departure of Romelu Lukaku for Inter Milan has left Sanchez without his closest ally inside the dressing room and a Serie A return is seen as a strong potential destination for the former Udinese forward.

Solskjaer believes he is still three weeks away from full fitness after picking up a knock during the Copa America in Brazil.

Sanchez has an eye on next summer's Copa America and wants to be sharp enough to lead Chile beyond this year's semi-final finish.

He has scored three goals in 32 appearances since a move from Arsenal. Ex-United striker Robin van Persie claimed the drought is down to unhappiness.

The 30-year-old is believed to be disappointed with the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter. Chile star Sanchez is keen to play first team football ahead of next summer's Copa America

'He needs to find a way to be happy again,' Van Persie said.

'If you are happy, you want to create and have fun. He had that in his first couple of months from what I saw and he needs to find that again.

'He can still play, he is still a fantastic football player. He just doesn't really look happy. I can only guess, but from distance, he looks unhappy and he needs to find a way to be happy again.'

Real Madrid 'set to return for another attempt to sign Paul Pogba this summer'… but Manchester United are desperate to keep hold of Frenchman

* Real Madrid are reported to be preparing a final attempt to sign Paul Pogba
* The player has made no secret of his desire to move to the Spanish capital
* Zinedine Zidane identified Pogba as one of his two primary targets to sign
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised Pogba's professionalism and dedication

Real Madrid will make a late attempt to sign Paul Pogba this summer, and test the players relationship with Manchester United ahead of the closure of the European transfer window.

Madrid have been monitoring Pogba all summer, and the player has made no secret of his desire to move to the Spanish capital.

A late move for the World Cup winner is being prepared by Madrid, who hope Pogba will force his own exit, as report the Times.

Real Madrid will reportedly make a late attempt to sign Paul Pogba this summer. Along with Eden Hazard, Zinedine Zidane made Pogba his primary summer target

Manager Zinedine Zidane identified Pogba as one of his two primary targets this summer, with the other being Chelsea's Eden Hazard.

The Belgian was successfully acquired and now a final attempt to sign Pogba will be staged.

United are set to stand firm on their stance that Pogba will not be leaving this summer, especially after their failure to bring in a central midfielder before the closure of the British transfer window.

Within the last year both Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini have left Old Trafford, leaving the Red Devil threadbare in the midfield department.

Though Madrid president Florentino Perez has been targeting a sensational move for Paris Saint Germain's Neymar, the Brazilian's desire to return to Barcelona has seen Madrid reportedly channel all their focus back to Pogba.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had praised Pogba's professionalism and dedication during pre-season, despite the Frenchman admitting during an interview in Asia that he may be ready for a new challenge.

Pogba featured and registered an assist in United's opening game of the season, as they pulled apart Chelsea at Old Trafford to take a 4-0 victory.

Manchester United transfer analysis: Defence looks much better after £130m investment... but midfield and attack have got WORSE

* Manchester United splashed out £130m on two defenders this summer
* But their midfield and attack have not improved with players not replaced
* United again look like they will struggle to break into the top four

Nothing is ever simple with Manchester United these days and the summer transfer window has been no different.

Paul Pogba and David De Gea both looked like they were going at one point and Romelu Lukaku eventually did go, while only three players joined in the end despite United being linked with dozens.

Here, Sportsmail assesses how the summer has gone for United.

Manchester United's best signing

You could make a case for all three.

Daniel James, first in, cost 'just' £17m and is an exciting prospect with electrifying pace on the wing - just what United have been missing.

And Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a brilliant young right back who could go on to be an Old Trafford great for a decade or more.

But Harry Maguire has to be No 1 given the significance of his arrival. United have finally filled a problem position with a national hero for a world record fee.

Harry Maguire has arrived at Old Trafford in a world record £80million fee for a defender

Departures

Ander Herrera's exit to Paris Saint-Germain may be a move United will regret, given they have not replaced his industry. Antonio Valencia will be fondly remembered at Old Trafford but was well past his best.

Quote:
Man United IN

Harry Maguire (Leicester City, £80m)

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Crystal Palace, £50m)

Daniel James (Swansea City, £17m)
Quote:
Man United OUT

Ander Herrera (PSG, free)

Antonio Valencia (Liga Deportiva Universitaria, free)

James Wilson (Aberdeen, free)

Regan Poole (MK Dons, free)

Romelu Lukaku (Inter, £73m)
Prospects for the new season

United are as far out as 40-1 to win the title with many boomakers and that seems about right. They finished 32 points behind champions Manchester City last season and it's hard to see that gap getting below 20.

Odd men out at Man United

United now have seven centre backs, so at least two of them are redundant. Maguire and Victor Lindelof will be first choice with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in reserve, leaving the injured Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo in limbo with Axel Tuanzebe staying with the first-team. Right back Timothy Fosu-Mensah will be hoping for a loan move abroad.

Overall
United have undoubtedly improved their defence but have weakened their midfield and frontline during the transfer window with Ander Herrera and Romelu Lukaku yet to be replaced.

Rating: 6/10

Alexis Sanchez on cusp of move to Inter Milan after Manchester United grant him permission to speak to Italian side... with Chilean willing to accept less than £500,000-a-week

* Alexis Sanchez is keen on move and has received permission to speak to Inter
* Inter want to bring the forward to the San Siro on an initial 12-month loan deal
* Manchester United, on the other hand, want to sell him in a permanent deal

Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez could become an Inter Milan player in the next 24 hours.

The Chilean is keen to move to Inter and has received permission from Manchester United to speak to the Italian giants and manager Antonio Conte with a deal on the cusp of being agreed.

Inter want to bring the forward to the San Siro on an initial 12-month loan deal, paying €5million (£4.5m) up front.

Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez could become an Inter Milan player in the next day. He has been given permission to speak to Inter Milan and manager Antonio Conte

They would then pay United a further €18m (£16.5m) at the end of a second season-long loan spell.

United want to receive €25m (£22m) for Sanchez up front instead and are not keen on accepting the lower figure being offered by Inter.

There should be no difficulty in Inter agreeing personal terms with Sanchez though as he is willing to sacrifice some of his £500,000-a-week pay packet.

His representatives have already agreed with Inter chief Giuseppe Marotta that he will accept slightly less than Romelu Lukaku's current salary.

The Belgian, who also moved to the San Siro from United this summer, is their highest paid player ever.

Conte is thought to be desperate to bring Sanchez in this summer as he continues his rebuild of Inter's squad.

'We do not need to sell': Lyon chief issues hands-off warning to Manchester United and Juventus over former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele

* Juninho has told Man United and Juventus they will not sell Moussa Dembele
* Juninho has insisted that letting Dembele go would not be good for his side
* Celtic would be owed between 10 and 15 per cent of the profit should Lyon sell

Lyon sporting director Juninho has told Manchester United and Juventus they will not sell Moussa Dembele.

The 23-year-old has scored three goals in two appearances this season which included a brace in Lyon's 6-0 thrashing of Angers last weekend.

And Juninho has insisted that letting Dembele go would not be good for his side.

Juninho has told Manchester United and Juventus they will not sell Moussa Dembele. The 23-year-old has scored three goals in two appearances this season for Lyon

'We are satisfied with the players we have,' Juninho told Foot Sur 7. 'We must now build collectively.

'We do not need to sell. I would like everyone to stay with us. If Moussa Dembele was to leave it would do us a lot of harm.'

Celtic would be owed between 10 and 15 per cent of the profit should Lyon sell the striker.

The Hoops sold Dembele to the Ligue 1 side last year for £20million.

Juventus are keeping tabs on the France Under-21 ace with the transfer window on mainland Europe still open until September 2.

Dembele was also on United's radar this summer but they did not lodge a bid before the Premier League deadline earlier this month.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'handed entire £75m from Romelu Lukaku sale to Inter Milan' to fund new Manchester United signings in the January window

* Manchester United sold Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan for £75m this month
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be able to boost his top four challenge in January
* The United boss spent almost £150million during the summer transfer window

Manchester United will have an extra £75million to spend in the January transfer window with proceeds from the sale of Romelu Lukaku reportedly made available.

The Belgian striker was sold to Inter Milan earlier this month, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have his coffers boosted if he needs to bolster United's top four challenge, according to The Sun.

Solskjaer spent almost £150m during the summer to recruit Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire.

Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes was a target this summer while they retain a long-term interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

Flop Alexis Sanchez looks set to join Lukaku at Inter before the transfer window closes in Europe on September 2.

Paul Pogba also faces an uncertain future with Real Madrid hovering over the French midfielder.

Manchester United misfit Marcos Rojo 'wanted by Fenerbache' as Argentine looks for Old Trafford exit

* Fenerbahce are interested in signing Marcos Rojo on a season-long loan deal
* The Manchester United defender was denied a deadline day move to Everton
* United executives Joel and Avram Glazer did not wish to strengthen their rivals
* The Turkish club have until September 2 to complete a deal for the Argentine

Manchester United outcast Marcos Rojo could complete a season-long loan move to Fenerbahce, according to reports in Turkey.

Media outlet A Spor claim the Turkish Super Lig club are 'closing in' on a loan deal for the defender, with sporting director Damien Comolli having reached an initial agreement with the Red Devils.

The 29-year-old was denied a deadline day move to Everton after United's executive co-chairmen Joel and Avram Glazer vetoed the deal.

Marcos Rojo (right) is reportedly attracting interest from Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce. Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Rojo has had a 'very good pre-season'

United see the Toffees as fellow top four contenders and became strongly opposed to the idea of strengthening their rivals.

The loan deal with Everton would have included an obligation to buy him at the end of the season, but it fell through at the last moment.

It left Rojo furious, but he could still be on the way out of the club before the transfer window closes in Turkey on September 2.

The centre back has been plagued by injuries in recent years has only played on 18 occasions during the last two seasons, including just six appearances in 2018-19.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed earlier this week he would continue to consider Rojo for selection, hailing his 'very good pre-season'.

However, it appears the Argentine is on the cusp of making an Old Trafford exit.

Manchester United are NOT interested in signing Fernando Llorente despite reports claiming he has agreed a two-year deal to move to Old Trafford

* Napoli and Lazio have also been linked with a move for the Spanish free agent
* The Red Devils did not bring in a replacement for Romelu Lukaku this summer
* The Belgium international striker moved to Inter Milan for £73m in August

Manchester United are unlikely to make an offer for former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente, despite reports in Italy suggesting a deal is close.

Napoli and Lazio have also been linked for the free agent Spain international.

The Red Devils did not bring in a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who moved to Inter Milan for £73million, before the Premier League transfer deadline.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tried to sign Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic but both deals fell through.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, United moved on to sign Llorente and agreed a two-year-deal for the 34-year-old.

Sportsmail understands, however, that this is not the case and United do not plan to make an offer any time soon.

Lukaku launched a scathing attack on United for their handling of his £73m transfer to Inter in a podcast recorded before he sealed the switch.

The Belgian did not play for Solskjaer's side in pre-season as the two clubs haggled over a deal, before completing his move on August 8.

He made clear his frustrations with his now former club when speaking to NBA star Josh Hart, believing they had not done enough to shut down rumours and forced him from Old Trafford.

Manchester United are unlikely to make an offer for former Tottenham ace Fernando Llorente

Lukaku told the LightHarted Podcast with Josh Hart, in an episode recorded before his departure: 'A lot of stuff has been said where I didn't feel protected.

'I felt like a lot of rumours, "Rom going there", "they don't want Rom", and nobody came out to shut it down.

'It was for a good three, four weeks. I'm waiting for someone to come out and shut it down. It didn't happen.

'I had my conversation, told them it was better to go our separate ways. If you don't want to protect somebody, all these rumours come out. I just wanted you to say "Rom is going to fight for his place", but it never happened for four, five months.

'It was all, "he's got to go, he doesn't deserve to be there". Well OK, then I want to go now. There is fighting for your position, but also being somewhere that people want you to be.'

Manchester United target Dominik Livakovic as a replacement for David de Gea as the Spaniard continues to hold out on signing a new contract

* Manchester United are keeping an eye on Dinamo Zagreb's Dominik Livakovic
* The goalkeeper could be a replacement for David de Gea is he leaves next year
* The 24-year-old is thought to be available for between £15m and £20million

While Manchester United continue to sweat over the future of David de Gea, they have been keeping an eye on Dominik Livakovic as a potential replacement.

The Croatian currently plays for Dinamo Zagreb, and a United scout was in the crowd to watch him keep a clean sheet against Rosenborg on Thursday, according to The Sun.

The 24-year-old would reportedly cost between £15million and £20million to sign.

Manchester United are looking at Dominik Livakovic as a replacement for David de Gea. The 24-year-old shot-stopper currently plays for Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb. Livakovic has recently been promoted to the number one keeper for his country

Other teams, including Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also been keeping tabs on Livakovic.

He was one of the options to bring in as back-up to Alisson Becker, but Liverpool ended up signing Adrian on a free transfer instead.

Livakovic has been promoted to the number one goalkeeper for Croatia ahead of Danijel Subasic, and has been part of a Dinamo Zagreb team which has won the title twice in a row.

David de Gea's current contract at Manchester United runs out at the end of the season, and is yet to sign the new one that's on the table.

United learned last week that he could wait until as late as January to sign the £350,000-a-week contract.

This summer they triggered a clause in his contract enabling them to extend his deal by another year, but they won't have that option next summer.

Paris Saint-Germain are among the teams interesting in his services, and de Gea could start to agree pre-contract terms with another club in January.
