Southampton unveil new green away kit as they prepare for Europa League next season
  • Saints trio Ryan Bertrand, Shane Long and Jay Rodriguez model new kit

  • Southampton preparing for first foray into Europa League next season

Premier League clubs up and down the country will be turning green with envy after seeing the new Southampton away kit for the 2015-16 campaign.

Saints trio Ryan Bertrand, Shane Long and Jay Rodriguez unveiled the new shirt on Friday, which features a navy sash upon a green base.

And Southampton fans will be hoping it sees plenty of use as Ronald Koeman's side embark upon their first adventure in the Europa League next season.

Hopefully, though, the colour won't represent the sense of queasiness English clubs usually feel about having to compete in Europe's second tier competition.

The club wrote about the new shirt on their official website: 'The shirt, which features an impactful navy sash on a green base, is armed with adidas climacool performance technology, providing a breathable kit on pitch.'

There is, however, every chance now that defeats for Southampton while wearing the new strip could be met with chants of 'Are you Plymouth in disguise?!' - no disrespect intended towards the fine League Two club, of course.

The Saints will once again be wearing their traditional red and white stripes again next season as their home kit for the second season in a row, after two years wearing a predominantly red shirt between 2012-14.

Southampton finished seventh in the Premier League last season and qualified for the Europa League after Aston Villa failed to beat Arsenal in the FA Cup final.

In any other season even defeat for Villa would have been enough for them to qualify for Europe - as Hull and Stoke have in recent seasons - but a rule change last year meant that the Saints will enter the competition at the third qualifying stage, which begins on July 30.

Real Madrid reveal new whiter than white strip for next season... with Iker Casillas fronting the campaign despite fears he will soon be replaced by David de Gea

* Real Madrid have released step-by-step images of their new 2015-16 kit
* Adidas strip features a clean all-white design with subtle light grey stripes
* Iker Casillas models the keeper's shirt despite being linked with a move

Real Madrid kept fans waiting as they slowly gave a step-by-step sneak preview of their new kit for the coming season.

The Spanish giants released a series of cut-out images of their famous white shirt on their official Instagram account, which eventually pieced together, in the form of an over-sized jigsaw for beginners, to reveal the 2015-16 design.

Players including Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema model the shirts on the club's website, although the choice of having Iker Casillas at the forefront of the campaign may prove ill-advised following reports the veteran keeper is on his way out of the Bernabeu.

There is only so much creativity that can be inspired by an all-white shirt, although manufacturers adidas have decided to go full 'Los Blancos' by removing practically all traces of colour with even the famous three stripes washed out to a light grey.

Only the club badge and Fly Emirates logo detach from the whiter than white design, although the kit will be accompanied by a grey and green away alternative and a third strip, which is believed to be royal blue after pictures were leaked on the internet.

Meanwhile Madrid are actively looking for buyers for Casillas as they prepare to sign Manchester United No 1 David de Gea.

Tottenham are reportedly one of the clubs touted as a potential destination for the 34-year-old, which would pave the way for United to replace De Gea with France international Hugo Lloris, who has hinted he is keen to complete a move to Old Trafford.

Casillas is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League and London in particular, though Arsenal’s imminent move for Petr Cech means the Emirates is not an option.

West Ham's new star Pedro Obiang can't wait for Europa League kick-off as club reveal last ever kit for Upton Park
  • West Ham find out their first Europa League opponents on Monday
  • New signing Pedro Obiang desperate to face some of Europe's top sides
  • Obiang says he is excited about impressing in West Ham's new kit

Pedro Obiang is ready to put his shirt on West Ham being successful this season as they prepare to say goodbye to the Boleyn Ground.

The Hammers launched their final home kit for their last-ever year at Upton Park before leaving for the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.

Summer signing Obiang was among the first to model the commemorative claret and blue Umbro number, which is complete with a gold crest and embossed with the words 'Boleyn Ground 1904-2016' to fittingly mark the farewell.

Pedro Obiang told Sportsmail that he cannot wait to get going in the Europa League with West Ham

Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho and Winston Reid show off West Ham's new kit, their last at Upton Park

New West Ham signing Pedro Obiang holds up a scarf after sealing his move to the east London club

The new West Ham kit has a special badge to commemorate the club's last season at their ground

And as the Spain Under 21 midfielder looks forward to his first training session with his new team-mates and boss Slaven Bilic on Monday, he can't help but look forward to the European adventure that awaits.

West Ham's Europa League fate will also be determined this Monday when the east London outfit discover their first round qualifying opponents.

Bilic's side - the earliest of all the top-flight clubs to return to pre-season training - could have played six competitive fixtures before the new Premier League campaign gets underway against Arsenal on August 8.

But Obiang, who signed in a £4.5million deal from Sampdoria earlier this month, insists he cannot wait to get started as he relishes a historic year ahead for the Hammers.

'I’ll be keeping a close eye on the Europa League draw on Monday,' he said.

'I came here to try to achieve big things with this club and the UEFA Europa League is the first chance to do just that.

The kit also features a tribute to the old stadium, where they have been for over a century, on the back

Obiang says he is desperate for the season to start so he can get a taste of Europa League football

The Spanish star puts pen to paper, finalising his transfer to West Ham, and says 'it's like a dream'

'Seeing the fixtures the other day really brought it home to me.

'It was like a dream thinking about all the teams we’ll be up against. I’ve seen these teams on television and now I have the chance to play against them. It is very exciting for me.

'I think it’s great to start against a big club, it’s the perfect way to test the team early on in the season.

'But for now, I’m just thinking about trying to get ready and work my way into the first eleven for this game.'

The Hammers will kick start their Europa League bid on July 2 and Obiang hopes it will provide him his first taste of playing at the Boleyn Ground, wearing the club's new home kit.

The design is inspired by the first ever strip worn at the stadium in 1904 when West Ham beat rivals Millwall 3-0 in front of 10,000 fans.

The former Sampdoria player is looking forward to wearing the new kit, and playing Europe's best teams

'I am definitely looking forward to wearing it for the first time,' added Obiang.

'I think it suits me too! I really like the colours and hopefully we can show them off across Europe this season.

'Just talking about it makes the prospect even more excited. The fact that this year’s shirt is based on the first [Boleyn Ground] kit is a very nice way to say goodbye to the Boleyn Ground.

'I’m looking to forward to living in London and having that first experience of English football when we start training. That’s obviously going to be my first opportunity to meet the manager and my new colleagues as well.'

West Ham’s new 2015/16 home kit is inspired by the first kit worn at the Boleyn Ground in 1904. Pre-order now at officialwesthamstore.com

Juventus unveil new kits as Italian champions start six-year deal with adidas
  • Juventus have revealed their new home and away kits for season 2015-16
  • The Italian champions are starting a six-year kit deal with adidas
  • Home strip is their familiar black and white stripes
  • Away jersey is pale pink in nod to club's original colours
  • Juve won domestic Italian Double last season
  • They were beaten by Barcelona in Champions League final in Berlin

Italian champions Juventus have unveiled their new adidas strips for the 2015-16 season.

Juve are beginning a six-year kit supply deal with the German brand, who have replaced Nike.

Naturally, the new home shirt is a variation on the club's famous black and white stripes, with white shorts and white socks.

A pale pink away strip has also been released in a nod to the jerseys Juventus wore until 1903.

The Italian champions will be supplied by the German kit maker for the next six years

Juventus players model the new home shirt in an advert to mark its release to the public

The Juventus away kit is pink, in a nod to the colour worn by the Italian club until 1903

According to the makers, the stripes are 'not outlined but intersect' which caused 'integration between the white and the black.'

The v-shaped neck is white and features the adidas logo in black, while a graphic at the bottom of the shirt incorporates the letter 'J'.

As if the Juventus kit needed more stripes, the customary black stripes of adidas can be found on the sleeve.

The back of the shirt is plain white and numbers/letters will be in black

The bottom of the tome shirt features the letter 'J' as part of a pattern

The back is mainly white and the player names and numbers will be in black for the season ahead.

Juve completed a domestic double of Serie A and Italian Cup last season but fell short in the final of the Champions League, losing 3-1 to Barcelona.
