___________ Photo: Liverpool fan mocks Man Utd’s ‘pen*s’ tactics Posted by Rob Parker | Off The Post A Liverpool supporter has engaged in some very juvenile but highly amusing tactical analysis of Manchester United’s performance against Fulham weekend. Using a Match of the Day graphic showing Liverpool’s neat little triangles in their comfortable win over Arsenal as a starting point, the Reds fan sought to identify similar patterns in the formation set up by United boss David Moyes. As you can see, the results are quite astounding. |

Re: Criticism Moyes Strategy
Langsung terlihat kalo Moyes mengandalkan crossing untuk mencetak gol. Seorang Juan Mata pun yg biasa bermain di tengah saat di chelsea langsung tidak terlihat

________________ Picture leaked! Is this David Moyes' tactics board for Arsenal match? By Craig Bloomfield | talkSPORT David Moyes' tactics have come under scrutiny following Manchester United's poor form this season, so all eyes will be on how his Red Devils perform at the Emirates Stadium. The United boss could well surprise Arsenal with an unexpected tactical switch, so he won't be pleased to learn that his tactics board has been leaked* ahead of the big match. Re: Criticism Moyes Strategy
Arsenal 0-0 Manchester United: Five lessons we learned
Toight like a tiger. As expected, the game started at a ferocious pace. Within two minutes, Robin van Persie had a golden chance to put Manchester United ahead after he put himself straight through on goal but uncharacteristically, he scuffed the finish. For the first 20 minutes, it felt like United were in control. Arsenal fans were grumbling and we had plenty of possession. As the half continued, it turned into a tit-for-tat between both sides with neither posing any real threat in front of goal. The second half saw much of the same for the first 30 minutes. United were disciplined in defence, kept Arsenal at bay but failed to cause them any trouble up front. De Gea and Szczesny were busy in the final few minutes with both sides having opportunities to win the game but ultimately, it ended in stalemate. That is a positive result. Take from that performance what you will but given what we saw against Fulham at the weekend, a point away at the Emirates is a good result. In any other season from United, there’d be no question that this result is a positive but in the current context, it can easily be seen as another two points dropped and in fairness, Arsenal were there for the taking. United were extremely disciplined at the back but there was something missing in our build-up play. Carrick and Cleverley were fantastic defensively but in terms of bringing the ball forward, they were lacking. Either way, United fans were cheering and Arsenal fans were booing at the end. David Moyes learned from his mistakes. A lot of fans were understandably frustrated at how we played against Fulham but tonight, Moyes set United up in the right way. Disciplined in defence, we sat deep and aimed to hit Arsenal on the counter. Defensively, we were solid but it was our lack of penetration up front that let the tactics down in the first half. If Fulham was all about crosses, tonight was the complete opposite. At times, we almost look like we consciously avoided putting a cross in by playing it back inside instead. Also, Moyes decided to bring Rio Ferdinand for Rafael when he was injured instead of putting a winger on to drop Antonio Valencia into right-back. Good, Valencia has been terrible as a make-shift right-back this year. Cleverley stood up to the test. Cleverley has been in the press all week after admitting he was hurt at being a scapegoat and he disabled his Twitter account following abuse from some narrow-minded United fans. Tonight, he put in a great shift. It wasn’t spectacular and it wasn’t trend setting but Cleverley was a real presence in midfield for United. He was energetic and a real nuisance for Arsenal, constantly biting at the heels of Arteta and Wilshere in particular. Admittedly, he could have done more to help bring United forward but on a night where Cleverley would have been under a lot of pressure, his performance was impressive. Our front three really aren’t firing. Mata, Rooney and Van Persie – on paper, it is one of the most dangerous three-pronged attacks in the Premier League. There’s so much attacking talent in there. However, they still haven’t gelled at all so far and it is at least in part because they seem to play so far apart from each other. Instead of being able to play intricate passes, they are always spread out too much. What United need to do is encourage Mata, Rooney and Van Persie to play towards each other instead of away from each other. Three players as good as good as those need short passes and spaces to exploit in order to really penetrate defences. HTML Code:

Klo dibiasakan terus lama2 kan familiar lagi. Bisa karena biasa . Suatu saat pasti akan berjaya lagi. Oh ya, 1 hal yang bikin aku heran bahkan sejak jaman Fergie. Klo lawan United seringnya seolah memiliki lebih banyak pemaen dibanding United. Pas United nyerang, pertahanan lawan kelihatan penuh pemaen. Saat bertahan lawan ya bisa nyaman mainkan possession football. |

Re: Criticism Moyes Strategy
Where was Januzaj? Moyes wants to protect his star but he's a match-winner... so, why was United's wonderkid on the bench?
It was a nervous game and it needed a bit of magic, so it was a shame to see Adnan Januzaj on the bench. I can understand why David Moyes wants to protect his young star, but he’s a match-winner and as a football fan you want to see him on the pitch. When he did come on, it was a surprise to see Juan Mata taken off. He could have unlocked the Arsenal defence but it was a sign that Moyes was happy to come away with a point. I think there has been an overreaction with some of the criticism Mesut Ozil has received this week. Yes he’s on a bad run of form, and he had another quiet game last night, but I don’t remember many pundits rushing to criticise him at the start of the season. When he arrived he galvanised Arsenal and was a huge part of their early success. He has been the difference in so many games for Arsenal this season and his qualities are obvious. He has not had a winter break, so he looks tired, but people have off days. He has taken the brunt of the criticism but there is no doubt that he will be one of Arsenal’s key players for the rest of the season. Mata's no match in the battle of playmakers It was the battle of the record signing playmakers and there was only one winner. Mesut Ozil, Arsenal’s £42m man, outshone Juan Mata. Manchester United’s £37m midfielder was ineffectual, failing to get the ball in dangerous positions and create chances for his team-mates. Ozil, whose performance was under the microscope after a series of poor games, fared better. The German was involved a lot more in the final third and created far more chances for his team-mates. The heat maps below show the ground each covered and the touch maps show where they each had possession of the ball. Arsenal keep it clean When you’ve let in five goals in a game, the first thing any manager will say before the next is: ‘We must keep a clean sheet.’ After such a heavy defeat against Liverpool, Arsenal’s back five will have looked at what went wrong and been desperate not to concede. On Wednesday night, apart from a few early chances for Robin van Persie, they kept United at bay. Mikel Arteta sat in that deep protective role, the defenders were effective and Wojciech Szczesny made some magnificent saves. Arsenal now have 12 league clean sheets, and after a big loss it was important for them to get back on track. This is one of the most competitive title races we’ve seen, but it’s easy to get distracted by the big games. Arsenal are second but have the worst record against the top four, winning just 20 per cent of their games. But, prior to kick-off, they had the best record against teams in the bottom four, winning five out of six. Chelsea have beaten all of their rivals but have won just 50 per cent of games against teams in the bottom four. They are only a point ahead of Arsenal, which shows how important it is to keep it up against every team, not just the big guns. Olivier Giroud has not scored against the top four this season, and that is one area that islacking in his game. He has done well and is a key player for Arsenal, but Thierry Henry and Van Persie when he was at the club would win matches by themselves. The big games are when you stars need to come to life, but at the moment Giroud’s game is missing that little bit of stardust. Code:
