LA Galaxy star Zlatan Ibrahimovic 'has been signed by AC Milan', claims MLS commissioner Don Graber

* Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly set to return to AC Milan from LA Galaxy
* Ibrahimovic's contract with the MLS side is set to expire at the end of December
* In initial spell at AC Milan, Ibrahimovic scored 56 goals between 2010 and 2012

MLS commissioner Don Graber says Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed for AC Milan.

Swedish superstar Ibrahimovic will be a free agent when his LA Galaxy contract expires at the end of December.

The 38-year-old striker has been linked with a host of clubs as he aims to extend his playing career, and Graber has claimed the Serie A side will be his next destination.

Graber told ESPN: 'Zlatan is an interesting character. He’s a thrill a minute.

'You need to have those guys that are breaking through like David Beckham did.

‘A 38-year-old guy, who is now being recruited by AC Milan, one of the top clubs in the world.

'He’s almost set records with how many goals he’s scored over the last two years.

‘At the end of the day I’d love to see him back but that’s going to be up to LA Galaxy.'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly set to return to AC Milan as he nears a move from LA Galaxy. The striker's LA Galaxy contract expires next month with speculation mounting over his future

Ibrahimovic had a loan spell at Milan from Barcelona in 2010 before making the switch permanent a year later.

In total, the Swede scored 56 goals in 85 games for Milan and won the Serie A title in the 2010-11 season as well as the 2011 Supercoppa Italiana.

Ibrahimovic previously played for Milan's city rivals Inter and also had a spell with Juventus. He also played for Malmo, Ajax, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.

During an 18-month spell at LA Galaxy Ibrahimovic scored 53 goals in 58 games

Manchester United 'in contact with Zlatan Ibrahimovic over stunning Old Trafford return' following his LA Galaxy exit and retirement rumours

* Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up a reunion with Zlatan Ibrahimovic
* The 38-year-old had departed Old Trafford for MLS side LA Galaxy in 2018
* Reports claim that the English giants are desperate for striking reinforcements
* The former Ajax, Juventus and Barcelona talisman will be a free agent in January

Manchester United are reportedly targeting a shock reunion with former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 38-year-old star had departed Old Trafford for MLS side LA Galaxy in 2018, after netting 29 goals during his two-season spell with the top flight giants.

But Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim that United could be tempted to re-sign Ibrahimovic in a desperate search for striking reinforcements.

Manchester United are reportedly targeting a reunion with former star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be hopeful of bolstering his attacking options this season

Ibrahimovic had lifted the Europa League and Carabao Cup with United under Jose Mourinho, and even scored the last-gasp winner against Southampton in the latter competition.

Successor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have struggled to tuck away chances at times this campaign, and a potential move for Juventus frontman Mario Mandzukic had also been touted in the summer.

And after the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan, Ibrahimovic appears to have emerged as a priority target for United.

The towering striker scored 31 goals in as many games for LA Galaxy, and bagged eight assists, in all competitions - and also netted in the club's conference semi-final defeat by rivals Los Angeles FC.

The ex-Juventus and Barcelona man will likely become a free agent in January, and has been linked with switches to Serie A outfits AC Milan and Bologna in recent weeks.

Manchester United 'WILL NOT' try to sign former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic' despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans to bolster attacking options in January

* Man United are not targeting a reunion with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in January
* The former Sweden international is a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign a striker but it won't be Ibrahimovic

Manchester Untied have ruled out a sensational return for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to Sky Sports.

The 38-year-old is available on a free, having left LA Galaxy last month after two seasons in the MLS.

Ibrahimovic, who scored 29 goals for Manchester United during a two-year spell at Old Trafford before leaving in 2018, had been linked with a return.

There will be no Manchester United reunion for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to Sky Sports. Ibrahimovic scored 29 goals for United during a two-year spell between 2016 and 2018

However, that does now not appear to be the case despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans to bolster his attacking force when the window opens in January.

The former Sweden international is believed to have attracted interest from several clubs around Europe, but it is not yet known if he has received any offers.

Ibrahimovic scored an astonishing 53 goals in 58 games during his time at LA Galaxy and recently insisted he believes he could still play at the highest level.

He said last month: 'I know I could still make the difference, both in Italy and in other countries.

'I'd do better than the players who are there playing now.'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic 'favours move to Bologna' over AC Milan return or Napoli switch as he continues to be linked with Serie A transfer

* Zlatan Ibrahimovic is available for free as his LA Galaxy deal ends in December
* The 38-year-old is said to be eyeing a move back to Italy after his stint in USA
* Bologna are said to be leading the race to sign the former Sweden international

Bologna have emerged as the shock favourites to win the race to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer once his contract with LA Galaxy ends in December.

Ibrahimovic, 38, has been linked with a host of top European clubs including AC Milan, Napoli and Manchester United.

However, Ibrahimovic is said to be favouring a move to Bologna ahead of a return to either Milan or United.

Napoli were said to be high up on his wish-list but Corriere dello Sport believe 15th-placed Bologna could land the Swede.

Ibrahimovic is expected to leave MLS after spending two seasons with the LA Galaxy.

He is now targeting a return to Europe after netting a staggering 53 goals in 58 games for the Los Angeles-based side.

And Ibrahimovic's friendship with Bologna boss Sinisa Mihajlovic could be decisive when he finalises his next move.

'Now go back to watching baseball': Zlatan Ibrahimovic bids farewell to LA Galaxy fans in typically dismissive style as free agent weighs up next career move

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has bid farewell to LA Galaxy as the Swedish star weighs up the next step of his illustrious career.

The 38-year-old's contract with the MLS side came to an end at the conclusion of the play-offs, with the Galaxy losing 5-3 to arch rivals Los Angeles FC to crash out of the competition.

And the former Manchester United, Barcelona and PSG striker is showing no signs of his career coming to an end just yet. The veteran attacker has flirted with the idea of returning to Europe for one final hurrah, with Italy the likely destination for the 6ft 5in striker.

Ibrahimovic took to social media to thank the fans of LA Galaxy for 'making me feel alive again', before jokingly suggesting they can 'go back to watch baseball'.

He said: 'I came, I saw, I conquered. Thank you @lagalaxy for making me feel alive again. To the Galaxy fans - you wanted Zlatan, I gave you Zlatan. You are welcome. The story continues...Now go back to watch baseball'.

The story could well continue in Bologna, with latest reports suggesting that the prolific striker favours a move to the northern Italian club, despite interest from Napoli, AC Milan and Manchester United.

Ibrahimovic's friendship with Bologna boss Sinisa Mihajlovic could be decisive when he finalises his next move.

He said last month: 'I know I could still make the difference, both in Italy and in other countries.

Zlatan scored a staggering 53 goals in 58 games for the Los Angeles-based side, suggesting that the star can still find the net in Europe's top leagues.

However La Gazetto Dello Sport states that his wife Helena Seger is 'in love' with the idea of returning back to Milan.

Bologna are seen to be at the top of Ibrahimovic's choices given his friendship with coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

However his wife has good memories of AC Milan, where Zlatan played between 2010 and 2012 before he left to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho 'eyeing HUGE Zlatan Ibrahimovic reunion' with striker available on a free transfer in January following his exit from LA Galaxy

* Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is already reportedly looking in market for new striker
* Zlatan Ibrahimovic is available on a free transfer in January after LA Galaxy exit
* The pair have worked with each other at Manchester United and Inter Milan
* Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Spurs boss on Wednesday morning

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is considering a move for Swedish great Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to reports.

Ibrahimovic will be available on a free transfer in the new year when he completes his two-year spell at MLS outfit LA Galaxy.

And according to the Telegraph, Mourinho - who took over at Tottenham on Wednesday morning after they sensationally sacked Mauricio Pochettino - is looking at hijacking AC Milan's attempts to re-sign the veteran striker.

Mourinho signed Ibrahimovic on a free transfer back in 2016 while at Manchester United and the latter produced an impressive return - scoring 29 times in 53 appearances.

The 38-year-old left Old Trafford in March 2018 but maintains a strong relationship with the Portuguese manager.

The pair first worked with each other at Inter Milan between 2008-09, with Mourinho valuing his professionalism and winning mentality.

Harry Kane remains Tottenham's only out-and-out striker after failing to find a replacement for Fernando Llorente in the summer.

Ibrahimovic's agent, Mino Raiola, has reportedly been in contact with a number of Italian clubs, with his former side AC Milan leading the way.

Italian sources claim that Raiola held talks with the San Siro outfit on Wednesday - but Ibrahimovic's wage demands may prove a stumbling block.

Tottenham are unlikely to want to fork out hefty wage demands for Ibrahimovic but they are believed to be interested in him following Mourinho's sudden arrival.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic becomes co-owner of Swedish top-flight side Hammarby - rivals of his old club Malmo - after Jose Mourinho rules out Tottenham swoop

* Zlatan Ibrahimovic left LA Galaxy earlier this month after two years in the MLS
* The Swede had a fruitful stay in the United States but was keen to move on
* He has now joined Swedish top-flight side Hammarby as a co-owner of the club
* Ibrahimovic has not confirmed whether this means his playing days are at an end

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has confirmed his next move in football, as a co-owner for Swedish top-flight side Hammarby.

The 38-year-old departed LA Galaxy earlier this month after two successful years at in the MLS where his goal-tally stood at an outstanding 53 goals in 58 appearances.

Now, after Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho dismissed rumours linking the Swede with a return to the Premier League, Ibrahimovic has joined Hammarby in an ownership position, saying he feels the move is both 'fun and exciting'.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined Hammarby as a co-owner following his release from LA Galaxy

Zlatan had previously posted this photo on his Instagram about his move back to Sweden. Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho dismissed speculation linking Ibrahimovic with Spurs

'Hammarby is a fantastic club with passionate supporters and has great respect in both Stockholm and Sweden,' Ibrahimovic said.

'I have always liked the club and the fans, since then I am impressed with what the club has done in recent years, both on and off the pitch.

'Being able to join and develop Hammarby forward feels both fun and exciting.'

The move into the club's board is somewhat surprising given Ibrahimovic's previous affiliation with Hammarby's rivals Malmo from 1999-2001 - his first professional club.

Ibrahimovic has previously been linked with a move to Serie A club Bologna and has also hinted at a move back to Spain. where he played for Barcelona in 2009-10.

Despite his move into the boardroom, Sweden's all-time record goalscorer hasn't confirmed whether this signals the end of his playing career, or where his next move on the pitch will be.

A Hammarby club statement read: 'This week, representatives of Hammarby Football met with AEG and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Los Angeles.

'AEG has informed Hammarby that it has sold half of its ownership in AEG Sweden to Ibrahimovic, which in turn means that Ibrahimovic becomes part owner of Hammarby Fotboll AB.'

Hammarby chairman Richard von Yxkull was also thrilled with Zlatan's involvement.

'Spontaneously the timing feels good, we have had a strong development in recent years and next year we play in Europe,' he said.

'To then get a person like Zlatan Ibrahimović into the club, with the passion and winning mentality he stands for feels right.

'It is too early to say anything in detail about how Zlatan can contribute to Hammarby Football, but there is clearly very great potential in the collaboration.'

Hammarby finished third in the Swedish top-flight Allsvenskan league which finished at the beginning of November, one point behind champions Djurgardens IF.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic 'open to moving to Everton if Carlo Ancelotti completes stunning move to Goodison Park'

* Everton are on the verge of naming Italian Carlo Ancelotti as their new boss
* His appointment could lead to Zlatan Ibrahimovic joining him at Goodison Park
* The pair enjoyed significant success together while at Paris Saint-Germain

Carlo Ancelotti's shock appointment as Everton manager may pave the way for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to complete a stunning move to Goodison Park, according to The Telegraph.

The Italian manager will be in the stands as Everton play against Arsenal on Saturday ahead of his confirmation as boss in an impressive coup for the club.

Should Ancelotti take over, Ibrahimovic is open to a reunion with his former Paris Saint-Germain coach, it has been claimed.

Together the pair won the 2013 Ligue 1 title before Ancelotti's departure and the Italian had considered taking the striker to Napoli before his sacking.

Ibrahimovic, now 38, is still hunting for a new team after leaving MLS side LA Galaxy at the end of November.

A return to former club Manchester United has been ruled out, while AC Milan are also unlikely to sanction a move for their ex-hitman.

Everton are in the hunt for more reinforcements up top, with the club keen to ease the burden on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Carlo Ancelotti and Zlatan Ibrahimovic may be reunited if the Italian takes over at Everton. Ancelotti is set to get a long-term contract at Goodison Park and will take over on Monday. Ibrahimovic has been without a club since leaving MLS side LA Galaxy in November

Cenk Tosun may leave the club in January after failing to impress, while Ibrahimovic may also help young striker Moise Kean integrate better into the team after a difficult start.

Everton consider appointing Ancelotti, a three-time Champions League winner, a game-changer and he will be rewarded with a long-term contract with his son Davide as assistant.

'Maybe I have to call Zlatan and see if he wants to come': New Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti teases signing of free agent Ibrahimovic

* Carlo Ancelotti worked with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at PSG and they are close friends
* In press conference new Everton boss quipped that he might call veteran striker
* Ibrahimovic is currently a free agent having finished his spell in the MLS
* Ancelotti then clarified he meant Zlatan could come to visit but 'not to play!'

Carlo Ancelotti has teased that he might give Zlatan Ibrahimovic a call to see if the striker wants to come to Everton.

But before fans could get too excited, he then moved to clarify that he meant 'to visit, not to play'.

Ancelotti worked with the serial winner at PSG and remains close friends with the Swede.

Having taken over at Goodison Park, Ancelotti was asked about the possibility of signing Ibrahimovic for the Toffees.

He said: 'He is a good friend of mine and fortunately I have trained a lot of fantastic players.

'I think he finished his period in the United States and really I don't know what his idea is. I am going to call him, if he wants to come to Liverpool to enjoy, he can come. But not to play, not to play!'

But the Italian was then coy on the prospect of January signings, insisting his focus is on the players already at his disposal.

Carlo Ancelotti teased the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is currently weighing up options. Ancelotti said he and Ibrahimovic are good friends from their time together at PSG. Ancelotti moved to clarify that he was inviting Ibrahimovic to visit rather than play

Ancelotti added: 'For me I don't answer [on the transfer window]. Everyone is focused on putting the best team on the pitch. The most important thing now is Burnley.

'What I know is talking with [Farhad] Moshiri is that the club wants to be competitive in the Premier League.

'So for me that is enough. Together we have to do things the right way to improve. The fact the club wants to build a new stadium. The ambition at the club is really high. I am really happy to be here.'

Ibrahimovic, now 38, is still thriving and excelled with LA Galaxy after leaving Manchester United.

The striker was prolific in the MLS, scoring 52 goals in 56 games over the course of two seasons.

Ancelotti is content with his current options however and added: 'I think this squad is good. A good mix of experienced players. There is a sense of belonging with [Seamus] Coleman and [Leighton] Baines as well as young players.

'It's a good mix I think. I am satisfied with the squad. We can improve but the first thing is we have in this period really important games. We have to focus there and then with Marcel and the board and then we can talk how to improve the team.'

And the 60-year-old went on to label Moise Kean as 'top quality' despite the youngster enduring a difficult time since joining in the summer.

'Kean showed fantastic talent for Juventus even if he didn't play enough,' he said.

'He is 19 years old, for every player that change country, that change teams. Sometimes there is adaptation. We have to work on him to improve his quality to be a better professional. He has top quality.'

And on his ambitions for the club in the long term, Ancelotti added: 'To improve our table position. To try to be closer to the top, compared to the bottom, that's it.

'Our goal is to play better football. I saw the last four games, Duncan has done a fantastic job. The team showed fantastic spirit against Chelsea, United, Leicester and Arsenal.

'After that we have to try and play attractive football. I saw how the supporters pushed the team forward. They want to see offensive football. I would like to play a good style of football, I don't know If I will be able to but I'll try.

'We want to be ambitious and to be competitive. Europe here could be good.'
