Thomas Müller

Thomas Müller (German pronunciation: [ˈtʰoː.mas ˈmʏ.lɐ]; born 13 September 1989) is a German footballer who plays for Bayern Munich and the German national team. Müller plays as a midfielder or forward, and has been deployed in a variety of attacking roles—as an attacking midfielder, second striker, and on either wing. He has been praised for his positioning, team work and stamina, and has shown consistency in scoring and creating goals. A product of Bayern's youth system, he made his first-team breakthrough in the 2009–10 season after Louis van Gaal was appointed as the main coach; he played almost every game as the club won the league and cup double and reached the Champions League final. This accomplishment earned him an international call-up, and at the end of the season he was named in Germany's squad for the 2010 World Cup, where he scored five goals in six appearances as the team finished in third place. He was named as the Best Young Player of the tournament and won the Golden Boot as the tournament's top scorer, with five goals and three assists. He also scored Bayern's only goal in the Champions League final in 2012, with the team eventually losing on penalties.

Thomas Muller keen to stay at Bayern Munich despite interest from Manchester United

* Thomas Muller confirms he does not want to join Manchester United

Manchester United have posted their interest in Thomas Muller but the striker seems intent on staying at Bayern Munich.

United were understood to be willing to offer a transfer fee and five-year contract totalling £114m for the Germany international.

He told SportBild on Wednesday: 'When you get an offer you consider it automatically. A request by a big club is an honour and appreciation that your output was good. I feel fine at Bayern and my contract runs until 2019. There is nothing more to say about this speculation.'

There are rumblings that Bayern Munich are ready to rival Manchester United for Sergio Ramos and will offer cash or a deal involving Medhi Benatia.

However, Ramos' camp remain set that United is the only destination should he leave Madrid.

Valencia's Nicolas Otamendi also remains the first choice should Madrid look for a replacement.

Manchester United have Stefan de Vrij and Jordy Clasie on their back-up lists for main targets Sergio Ramos and Morgan Schneiderlin.

De Vrij, 23, was voted best defender at last summer's World Cup but Louis van Gaal opted not to sign him then and he moved to Lazio from Feyenoord for £5.75m. He's now valued at £15m.

Clasie, 24, is a busy midfielder wanted by Southampton, Aston Villa and Sunderland among others.

He is ready to leave Feyenoord now and is awaiting offers with his price tag set at £9m. Roma, Schalke and Marseille are also in the frame.

Mueller Tanggapi Kabar Tawaran Fantastis MU

Munich - Manchester United dilaporkan telah mengajukan tawaran amat besar kepada Bayern Munich untuk mendapatkan Thomas Mueller. Pemain yang bersangkutan menanggapi rumor itu dengan santai.

'Setan Merah' masih berminat memburu Mueller meskipun Bayern sempat menyatakan bahwa pemainnya itu tidak dijual. Akan tetapi, MU tidak menyerah dan diklaim telah mengajukan tawaran sebesar 100 juta euro (sekitar Rp 1,5 triliun).

Pesepakbola berusia 25 tahun itu masih memiliki sisa kontrak empat tahun dengan Bayern. Mueller mengaku tidak heran dengan rumor-rumor 'gila' seputar masa depannya.

"Rumor itu benar-benar gila, angka-angka yang sedang banyak dibicarakan di dalam sepakbola," kata Mueller kepada Sport1 yang dikutip AFP.

"Tidak ada pemain yang berharga 100 juta euro, itu hanya angka dalam bisnis jadi aku cukup tenang dengan segalanya."

"Di Dresden, seorang suporter baru-baru ini mendekatiku dengan sebuah megaphone dan berkata "Hey, pria 100 juta euro, berapa harga kostummu?' Hal itu membuatku tersenyum," imbuh pemain tim nasional Jerman itu.

United Ternyata Sempat Tawar Muller Dengan Harga Gila

Bola.net - Presiden Bayern Munchen, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge mengungkapkan bahwa Manchester United sempat melayangkan tawaran super besar untuk Thomas Muller. Tawaran itu tentu saja ditolak oleh Bayern.

Gagal mendapatkan Muller, United kemudian berhasil membeli Anthony Martial dengan harga yang sangat tinggi. Namun Rummenigge menegaskan bahwa ia akan menolak tawaran berapa pun yang diberikan United.

"Saya membicarakan tawaran United yang sangat-sangat tinggi. Jika seandainya saya adalah manajer bank, saya pasti harus menerimanya. Tapi kami sebagai klub masih mampu menutup pintu tawaran itu. Pintu itu akan terus tertutup. Saya janjikan itu,"terang Rummeniggge kepada The Sun.

Rummenigga menambahkan bahwa ia mulai khawatir dengan kemampuan belanja tim-tim Inggris. Dengan naiknya nilai hak siar Premier League, tim-tim Inggris memang menjadi semakin kaya.

"Ada satu yang pasti; dengan naiknya harga hak siar televisi di Inggris, semuanya akan menjadi semakin sulit bagi Bayern nantinya."
