Default Re: Paul Labile Pogba

Paul Pogba 'will leave Manchester United this summer if he doesn't sign a new contract' as Red Devils 'prepare to offer Frenchman a £400,000-a-week deal to convince him to stay' with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer optimistic of tying him down

* Paul Pogba is more happy at Man United than ever before since his £89m move
* The France star's deal at the club runs out in 2022 with Real Madrid interested
* The Mirror claim United will open talks over a £400,000-a-week deal this month
* But they would also be prepared to sell if he fails to commit his long-term future

Manchester United are prepared to sell star midfielder Paul Pogba this summer should he fail to sign a new mega-deal at the club, according to reports.

Pogba is happier than at any time since a world-record £89million move to rejoin the club from Juventus in 2016 and was outstanding in United's 6-2 win against Roma in last week's Europa League semi-final first leg.

The Frenchman's current United contract runs out next year amid protracted speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Manchester United are prepared to sell Paul Pogba if he does not agree a new deal. Pogba has been in stunning form and reports suggest United will open talks on a new £400,000-a-week deal. But they would be prepared to sell him too, especially if Mino Raiola's demands are too high

The Mirror however claim United will open talks with the 28-year-old regarding a fresh £400,000-a-week deal later this month, which would see him overtake David De Gea as the highest-paid player at the club.

But the same outlet and The Sun claim that should the France international refuse to commit his long-term future to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men, the club will not hesitate to move him on, especially if super agent Mino Raiola's demands become too taxing.

To help finance a move, both reports add United are planning to sell Spain goalkeeper De Gea - who currently earns £350,000 per week - to fund his current French team-mate's new deal, with Dean Henderson then becoming the undisputed No 1.

But United are aware that they are in a race against time to convince Pogba to stay and are keen for progress to be made on negotiations before he represents world champions France at the European Championships this summer.

Pogba has also been linked with a move to former club Juventus, and the list of high-profile suitors has made United reportedly desperate for talks with Raiola, as they are keen to avoid a repeat of nine years ago, when they lost him to the Italian giants on a free transfer.

The reports add while Old Trafford chiefs will not bow to whatever Raiola demands, they are aware their position will be weaker if the situation is not resolved by the start of the Euros, with his valuation dropping by the month in their bid to recoup the £89m fee they paid to re-sign him.

And with both Juventus and Real Madrid in financial turmoil amid the coronavirus pandemic, that appears unlikely, albeit that United's preference is to see Pogba commit the prime years of his career to the Old Trafford side.

Pogba would overtake David De Gea if he signs the new deal as United's best paid player. United could look to Declan Rice or Wilfried Ndidi if Pogba does depart. United boss Solskjaer however believes the club are winning the battle to convince Pogba

United have reportedly begun searching the market potential replacements for Pogba with Declan Rice, Wilfred Ndidi and Saul Niguez all featuring on the list.

But the longer the situation with Pogba remains unresolved, the longer they cannot put their plans to sign a possible replacement in the form of the West Ham, Leicester or Atletico Madrid star into action if the World Cup winner does decide to depart.

United boss Solskjaer however believes the club are winning the battle to convince Pogba to commit his future to the club, having already triggered a 12-month extension clause in his deal at the start of the season.

'If we can play like we did against Roma and go again against Liverpool and they can feel our progress this season, our chances are bigger to keep Paul and Edi (Edinson Cavani),' said Solskjaer, whose second-place side face Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool on Sunday, 13 points ahead of the reigning champions.

'You know of course I have worked with Paul for a few years. I had him when he was a reserve player as well and he knows my feelings about him that I want him to stay. It's about creating a competitive environment than we can all thrive in, a competitive team challenging for trophies.

'I have always said with Paul that I enjoy managing him, talking to him and challenging him because he is a winner. He wants to be better and that's why he listens.

'You can see he's enjoying himself here as well. He has a smile on his face. I try to treat everyone with the same amount of respect but there are some players you have known since they were young lads and that's the case with Paul. The longer you have known them the easier it is to have a bond with them.'

Paul Pogba urged to LEAVE Manchester United to 'shine in the football world' at elite level by Marcel Desailly - who insists Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not 'understand' the midfielder

* Marcel Desailly has spoken out strongly on the future of Paul Pogba
* The midfielder remains linked with an exit from Old Trafford in the summer
* Desailly says Pogba needs a team who suit his play and a coach who understands
* United are willing to sell Pogba this summer if he does not sign a new deal

Paul Pogba needs to leave Manchester United because his manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not understand the way he needs to play, claims former Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly.

The Frenchman has this week made the questionable claim when asked about his compatriot at Manchester United, and whether he thinks Pogba can ever be considered in the world class bracket.

Desailly, 52, produced strong opinions when the focus was placed upon Pogba and his recent exclusions from the United ranks this season.

Desailly told BEINsports when asked specifically about Pogba's progress in England and the topic of reaching his true potential: 'No, not yet, not yet, but not especially because he’s not committed.

'Probably because the elements around him are not fitting with his quality, his state of mind.'

The former Chelsea man then went on to suggest that the 28-year-old still finds himself at the wrong club and needs to seek out a move this summer.

Desailly added: 'He needs a good city. He needs a good team who play for him. He needs a coach who understands him.

'[Didier] Deschamps readjusted Pogba during the World Cup. He changed his system to 4-2-3-1 for Pogba.

'Out of four elements to make Pogba the best... if only two of the elements are there it’s not enough for him to express himself.

'There is two out of four [at Manchester United] so probably he has to go somewhere else to gain an extra one to potentially be able to show that consistency and that talent that he has and shine in the football world,' he added.

As recently reported by Sportsmail, United are willing to sell Pogba this summer if he does not commit to a fresh deal in the coming months.

The Frenchman's current United contract runs out next year amid protracted speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

It has been reported that United will open talks with the 28-year-old regarding a fresh £400,000-a-week deal later this month, which would see him overtake David De Gea as the highest-paid player at the club.

Default Re: Paul Labile Pogba

Juventus 'interested in bringing Paul Pogba back from Man United' in reunion with new coach Max Allegri... but Italian giants 'would need to sell Cristiano Ronaldo' to afford French star's £90m price tag this summer

* Paul Pogba has only one season left on his contract with Manchester United
* French midfielder hasn't provided a concrete indication he will stay at the club
* Juventus would reportedly be interested in bringing him back for second spell
* But Italian club wouldn't be able to afford his £90million asking price this year
* They would have to offload Cristiano Ronaldo to make a deal possible

Juventus are 'open to the idea of bringing Paul Pogba back from Manchester United this summer but would have to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to afford him'.

New manager Massimiliano Allegri knows he needs to rebuild the midfield to restore Juventus to title winners in Italy.

And France midfielder Pogba, who spent four successful seasons at Juventus between 2012 and 2016, including two under Allegri's management, is certainly in their thoughts.

Paul Pogba has just one year remaining on his Manchester United contract and the club would have to sell him this summer to get maximum value if he doesn't wish to stay. Reports in Italy have raised the possibility of a reunion with incoming Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri. The pair are pictured celebrating a 2015 Italian Cup win

But, as Italian website Calcio Mercato report, the Turin club would have to offload Ronaldo in order to finance Pogba's return.

Pogba, 28, has only one year left on his United contract and hasn't shown too many indications that he will extend it.

Despite this, his asking price would still be around the £90million mark and that is beyond Juventus in the present economic climate.

Calcio Mercato suggest a potential swap that would see Ronaldo return to Old Trafford as leverage in the deal is 'no longer a fantasy.'

They say the close relationship between Pogba and Allegri, which saw them win two league and cup doubles at Juventus, could make a return to Italy an attractive option.

Juventus would reportedly have to wave goodbye to Cristiano Ronaldo to afford a Pogba deal. Allegri has returned to the Turin club and knows a considerable team overhaul is required. A good season for Pogba ended in disappointment as United lost the Europa League final

Pogba ended the season trophyless after United crashed to a penalty shoot-out defeat to Villarreal in last week's Europa League final in Gdansk.

Though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have made progress in recent months and were briefly in Premier League title contention at the start of the year, they remain in a rebuilding phase themselves.

Pogba scored six goals and contributed nine assists in probably his best season in a United shirt, with the midfielder finally looking settled at United.

Ronaldo, 36, meanwhile scored 36 goals for Juventus in another sensational season.

But they could only finish fourth in Serie A as Inter Milan won the title and manager Andrea Pirlo was sacked as a result, with Allegri restored after two years away.

ya udah barter aja Pogba dengan Ronaldo, tinggal nego gaji Ronaldo aja

Paul Pogba insists he is not in contract negotiations with Manchester United with just one year left on his Old Trafford deal... with the midfielder focused on France's European Championship bid

* Paul Pogba's Manchester United contract expires in just over a year's time
* Reports claimed the Red Devils have opened talks over an extension to his deal
* The 28-year-old has revealed he is not in negotiations over a contract extension
* Pogba's agent Mino Raiola claimed in December that the midfielder wanted out
* The Frenchman has become a key part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side since then

Paul Pogba has denied reports that he is speaking to Manchester United over a new contract extension, with just one year left on the Frenchman's Old Trafford deal.

The French midfielder has been linked with a United exit for several years but has never engineered a move away from the club - and is now a key part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Sky Sports claimed on Thursday that the Red Devils have opened up negotiations with Pogba's representatives over an extension - and the 28-year-old has denied that talks are underway.

Paul Pogba has denied reports that he is negotiating a new contract with Manchester United. The French midfielder (left) has become a key part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's (right) side again

Pogba told a press conference for France: 'I have one year left on my contract, everyone knows that. There have been no concrete proposals for extensions. I'm still in Manchester.

'After the season there was the vacation, so I didn't sit down with the managers and coach. I'm focused on the Euro.'

Pogba has one season left on his United deal and will be able to negotiate a free transfer with other clubs from January should his contract situation remain the same.

The 28-year-old claimed he is solely focused on France's European Championships bid now. Pogba's agent Mino Raiola claimed in December that the midfielder wanted to quit United. The 28-year-old quickly hit out at his agent and accused him of not knowing his mindset

United triggered an automatic one-year extension clause to the original five-year contract he signed when the rejoined the club in the summer of 2016 for a then-world record fee.

The decision to extend the Frenchman's contract by a year from the United hierarchy came just a few weeks after his agent, Mino Raiola, claimed Pogba wanted to part ways with the club.

The super-agent claimed in the middle of December: 'He does not want to play for Man United any more. His agent, who is his best friend, told us categorically he does not want to be here any more.

'The reason Paul Pogba gets more criticism is quite simply because he is the biggest signing, a world champ and there's a large expectation around him. I can accept a player not playing well but his agent and best friend has tried to get him out of this football club for the last 15 months.'

But the 28-year-old came out with an angry response to his agent's comments, claiming Italian representative Raiola did not 'know what's going on inside'.

He wrote on Instagram: 'I've always fought and will always fight for Manchester United, my team-mates and the fans,' wrote Pogba. 'Bla bla is not important. The future is far, today is what matters.

'I am 1,000 per cent involved! Always strong together.. all has been clear between the club and myself and that will never change. When you don't know what's going on inside don't talk #SpeakTheTruthOrRemainSilent #united #talktothehand .'

Pogba suffered a long-term hamstring problem in the winter which kept him out until the middle of March, but the midfielder has since played a key role in Solskjaer's midfield.

He featured in six out of United's final nine league matches of the season and started every game on their way to the Europa League final, where they lost on penalties to Villarreal.

The midfielder is currently preparing for the European Championships with France, with the summer tournament beginning on Friday night.

Paul Pogba ISN'T the same player for Manchester United as he is for France, claims Roy Keane, who insists he 'still wants more from him' at club level before his stellar display in win over Germany at the Euros

* Roy Keane questions why Paul Pogba performs differently for club and country
* Pogba put in a stellar display as France beat Germany in their Euro 2020 opener
* The French midfielder is regularly the star man when representing his country
* Keane wants Pogba to show that same level of excellence for Manchester United

Roy Keane has questioned why Paul Pogba fails to produce the same high-quality performances for Manchester United as he does for France.

Keane has been an outspoken critic of Pogba in the past, with the Frenchman often struggling to deliver consistently when representing the Red Devils.

While the 28-year-old midfielder has been the target of criticism in recent years, Pogba rarely falters at international level and helped guide his country to World Cup glory in Russia three years ago.

Roy Keane insists Paul Pogba isn't the same player for Manchester United that he is for France. Keane insists he 'wants to see more' from Pogba when playing for United

On Tuesday, Pogba put in a man-of-the-match display to help France win their opening game of Euro 2020 as Didier Deschamps' men beat Germany 1-0 at the Allianz Arena.

His stellar display in Munich rightfully earned him plaudits but Keane wondered aloud before the game why he wasn't able to replicate strong performances with France for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

'Listen we keep talking about Paul Pogba,' Keane said on ITV. 'There's no doubt he's a talented boy. I still want more from him, particularly when he's playing for Manchester United.

Pogba played a crucial role as France won their opening game of Euro 2020 against Germany. The 28-year-old put in a man-of-the-match display against Joachim Low's side on Tuesday. Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira agreed with Keane that Pogba is a different player for France

'No doubt he's surrounded by probably better players and he's more comfortable in that environment with the French team. He plays on the left side and slots in.

'I think when he's with United, he maybe doesn't take responsibility, maybe there's too much responsibility or maybe there's not enough players around him who can take responsibility,' added the Irishman.

'I know with France he is sharing this kind of responsibility with other players around. Maybe in Manchester (he is) isolated too much and maybe this is why he is feeling more pressure.

'Obviously there is a difference between the Pogba we know with France and the one we know at United.'

Former France midfielder Patrick Vieira agreed with his former arch-nemesis, claiming Pogba was much better at international level.

Vieira added: 'There's a question about the performance he has with Manchester United - the ones he has for the French national team are much much better.

'I think maybe the system; maybe he feels more comfortable in the French system than in Manchester. Obviously he's a leader and an important player. When he's in Manchester he has to take responsibility as well.'

Tuesday's win at the Allianz Arena was the perfect start for the World Cup winners after Mats Hummels' own goal sealed a tight 1-0 win.

France looked comfortable for the majority of the game, which saw Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema both have goals ruled out for offside in the second half before they were able to hang on to all three points.

Speaking after the win, Pogba was delighted by how his team performed despite him receiving much of the praise for his solo performance.

'The team performance is the most important thing,' said the Manchester United midfielder. 'Without them, I wouldn't have played as well. We all put the effort in.

'We're focused on our jobs on the pitch. We know we need to live up to our tag as world champions and come out on to the pitch with humility. When we need to suffer, we do it together and when we attack, we do it together.'

Paul Pogba could become the HIGHEST-PAID player in the Premier League 'as Manchester United prepare to offer midfielder a new five-year deal worth £400,000-a-week as he enters final 12 months of his current contract'

* Manchester United are reportedly lining up a new monster deal for Paul Pogba
* The Frenchman has now entered the final 12 months of his current contract
* United are believed to be considering a £400,000-a-week offer over five years
* Pogba said last week he would not consider his club future during the Euros

Manchester United are reportedly considering making Paul Pogba the highest paid player in the Premier League as they look to tie the Frenchman down.

Pogba has entered the final year of his current deal at Old Trafford, worth £300,000-a-week, and his club are keen to prevent him going into the new season with his future still uncertain.

According to The Sun, this means offering him an incredible new £400,000-a-week contract over the next five years to convince the midfielder to stay in Manchester.

This would see the structure of the deal agreed once Pogba returns from the Euros later this summer, with the 28-year-old commenting last week his focus was on his country.

'I have one year left on my contract, everyone knows that,' Pogba said in a press conference. 'There have been no concrete proposals for extensions. I'm still in Manchester.

'After the season there was the vacation, so I didn't sit down with the managers and coach. I'm focused on the Euro.'

Manchester United are reportedly lining up a new £400,000-a-week deal for Paul Pogba. The midfielder now has less than 12 months to run on his current contract at Old Trafford. Pogba insisted at a press conference last week he was not thinking about his United future. The Frenchman's agent Mino Raiola has at points seemed to push for Pogba to leave United

It's likely to take a monster offer to persuade Pogba to commit his future to the club, as he would be in a position to demand a massive signing on fee alongside huge wages should he wait it out to leave on a free transfer.

Over recent years it has seemed on more than one occasion that a departure was likely, with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola at times appearing to try and publicly force a move.

In December, Raiola was definite in his assessment of his client's future at United with reported interest from Juventus and Real Madrid.

'I can say that it's over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United,' he said to Tuttosport.

He added: 'Paul is unhappy with Man United as he is no longer able to express himself in the way that he would like and as he is expected to. Paul needs a new team, a change of air.'

However the Frenchman remained a regular feature of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side and made 42 appearances for his club across all competitions last season.
